Celebrating family culture and peaceful days

Why, hello there!

I haven’t been here for a while. There’s a good reason though. We’re moving!

After almost two years of waiting, interviewing, and searching for God’s will, my husband was offered a position as pastor at a church in Pittsburgh. We are ridiculously excited. Slightly disappointed, of course, not to be moving closer to family, but oh, we’ll be in a big city with lots of culture, a Waldorf school, so many homeschooling opportunity, a bigger house… we can hardly wait!

And we won’t have to wait long. This is all happening in a month. A month! A month to wrap up 5 more days of schools, get our portfolios together, have our evaluations, including a standardized test, and take it all to the school. A month to get all the children in for physicals and dental appointments. A month to find a new cardiologist. A month to sell this house and buy a new one. A month to pack. A month to say goodbye. And all with six very busy children underfoot!

There are concerts to attend, recitals to watch, goodbyes to be said. So many uncertainties, but always with the deep-down knowledge that our God is holding us in the palm of His hand.

So I will try to post when I can, but I also recognize that things are only going to get busier. And I will be so bold as to ask that you please say a prayer for us, that the last pieces fall into place as we sell out house.

Peace to you– I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Dear Annette, Good luck to you and I hope your move is going well! We are in the same boat of having to move very quickly for work, and all the incredible details and saying goodbye as well. Meanwhile blogging is on hold of course. :)
