Go batty over Halloween!

At the easel, ask your child to fill white paper with yellow paint. Alternately, you could do a watercolor painting with all yellow. Cut a large circle from the painted paper once it dries, and glue it to a sheet of purple or dark blue construction paper (you could also paint this background paper). Now you have a harvest moon in a nighttime sky. Cut out one or two bat shapes from black paper, and have your child glue them flying in front of the moon. For a 3-D look, fold up the wings a little.
