I can’t believe it’s been two weeks since I last posted. So much has happened between then and now, it seems more like a lifetime than 24 days!

We’re slowly getting settled into our new home. Most of the boxes on the first floor have been unpacked and quite a few pieces of new furniture have been procured, thanks to Ikea and Craigslist. The children are settling into their new screen-free (mostly) life and have been doing quite a bit of this:
Their bedrooms aren’t quite as settled. None of the kids have beds put together yet, just mattresses. But our new family closet is 75% set up and the laundry situation is a billion times better already.
We’ve had a quite a few adventures already as well. Michael stayed behind and participated in the Williamsport Youth String Ensemble, which included a competition at Hershey Park where they placed first! We’ve taken a trip into the city for Artsfest, bought our zoo membership and made our first brief visit, ate a delicious meal at a Greek food festival, and visited lots of shops and stores that we thought only existed in commercials, including my new favorite, Trader Joe’s. And right now Katie Grace is auditioning for the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater School as I sit up in the parents room– nothing like Dance Moms, thank goodness!

We finally got to meet out new church family, although unfortunately Katie Grace was ill our second Sunday here so half of us could not attend. We’ve had a few other misadventures as well, including a step collapsing under me while I was holding both twins. Fortunately, I wasn’t too hurt and it was a fairly easy repair.
I am looking forward to settling into some sort of routine. Cooking routines, cleaning routines, play and school and work routines. Without them, I feel like we’re just drifting along from one thing to the next. And don’t get me wrong, they’re great things to be sure. But too many great things without any sort of rhyme or reason to them feels a little chaotic.
I’m looking forward to getting back to a blog routine as well, and would like to plan a bit of relaunch with giveaways and such. If you would like to participate, either as a guest blogger or a giveaway sponsor or both, please do let me know!
Still and all, I love our new little house, because despite being only 10 minutes away from the big city and 15 minutes away from this
we still have this
as part of our backyard!
Welcome home!
