We’ve got a whole lot of science going on in this house!
Michael is enjoying Oak Meadow’s Physical Science. This week he’s doing some fun experiments with energy and has been busy looking at our appliances to figure out which are most energy efficient. It’s a great way to get a kid on board with energy conservation!
Katie Grace is studying Oak Meadow’s Basic Life Science and began to study cells. The diagrams are a lot of fun for a child who likes to draw, but I think her favorite activity was making this yummy cell model dessert for us all.

We don’t usually allow candy, so picking out all the different parts of the cell was a special treat!
Learning about the phases of the moon is always fun, and Nicholas found a way to make science extra yummy.

And I bet you thought the moon was made of cheese!
Finally, Daniel has been having an awesome time exploring our woods with his big brother and sister. I love that even though we are in the city, we have this little patch of nature for the children to explore.
