It’s a Sale!!!!! Seasons of Joy eBooks and Outschool Classes!

So, where are we at now– Black Friday? Cyber Monday? Small Business Saturday? I have no idea. All I know is that today, my friends, we are having a sale, and it will go on until… well, until I remember to make the Paypal buttons inactive, I supposed, but at least until Tuesday, I am offering several sales today. I may be adding more as the weekend goes on. Before I post them, however, I want to share two things.

  1. If you are interested in any of these but don’t have cash, I am also willing to barter. Some things I am specifically looking for right now are help updating my blog (new graphics that can be used across platforms, an updated template, general advice etc), story figures, I’ll add more as I think of it.
  2. If you are interested and don’t have the means to barter, send me an email at and I’ll make sure you have Seasons of Joy if it will be helpful to you and your family.

Now, on with the sales!
First, Seasons of Joy– a series of Waldorf-inspired ebooks full of ideas to bring peace and joy into your home. Please note that these are all electronic content– you will not receive a physical book- and all are non-returnable and non-transferable.

        • You can purchase the entire Seasons of Joy ebook collection– Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, Advent, and Martinmas– for only $50. This is a savings of $25!
        • You can purchase the Winter book and get the Advent book free. Or you can purchase the Advent book and get the winter book free. It’s all in how you look at things. Either way, it’s just $15 for both.
        • You can purchase just the Advent book for $10.

Seasons of Joy/I also offer content on Outschool, an online learning platform. These materials are also all digital. I am offering a variety of classes throughout December that combine Waldorf, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, the Project Approach, and some good old-fashioned Froebel kindergarten thrown in for good measure. All classes are secular, interactive, and FUN. If you’re new to Outschool, you’ll even get a $20 referral code, although in the interest of full disclosure, I get one too. There are so many classes– be sure to explore them all! I cannot offer discounts, due to the nature of the platform. I am, however, deeply discounting all December classes.

      • Seasons of Joy December Story Times
        Monday mornings, 10 am EST
        Tuesdays at noon EST
        Wednesdays at 1pm EST
This class is just $35 for four 40-minute story time.
Week 1: The Mitten (a traditionally Ukrainian folk tale)
Week 2: The Elves and the Shoemaker (from The Brothers Grimm)
Week 3 Star Money or The Falling Stars (also from The Brothers Grimm)
Week 4: The Boy Who Went to the North Wind (a Norwegian folk tale)
      • Walking the December Path: Waldorf-Inspired Circle Times
        Mondays at 11am EST
I think of this class as “not Advent.” We will follow the Steiner recommendations of journeying through the four kingdoms– rocks, plants, animals, and people– in a completely secular way. This class is also $35 for four 30-minute structured circle times.
      • Trolls, Elves, Tomten, and Gnomes: An Adventure in Scandinavian Storytelling
This class is hot and all sessions have sold out, but I am going to look today at adding one or two more sessions, times to be announce.
In this 4-week class, we will take a trip into the forests of Scandinavia and explore the ancient folklore of the people of the Nordic lands through stories, songs, crafts, and more. You can’t beat $50 for four 1-hour classes!
      • Seasons of Joy Circle Time: Scandinavian Imagination!
        Tuesdays at 11am EST
It’s pretty much the above, for smaller children and in a circle time format.
      • The Hundred Languages of Children: Light and Reflection Investigation for Children
        Tuesdays at 10am EST
        Thursdays at 1pm EST
First of all, let me say how excited I am to teach this class. When my music students feel frustrated about being online for now, I try to encourage them by telling them how amazing I find all the different ways people are learning to be creative and make music, theater, and more online. And the same goes to education! I loved my time in a Reggio Emilia early learning center and am looking forward to bringing an investigation of light and reflection to Outschool, especially at a time of year when there are so many beautiful lights and shadows in the world.
If, after looking at the description, you decide to sign up, please let me know in the notes and I will refund you $5. I really want to run this class and see what we can make happen together!
      • The Seasons of Joy Winter Circle Times begin in January.
They are an ongoing class, which means you sign up and can come and go as you please and cancel at any time. Right now, I have multiple times available and the class is listed at only $6 each. This price will be going up by $1 in the new year.

I do have other classes listed on Outschool and may list some more one-time classes. My goal is to keep things reasonably priced, as I know times are hard for a lot of us right now! If there are any classes I have that you are interested in but cannot afford, please reach out to me and we’ll see what can happen. I am always looking to barter (see above) and also love the energy of a full Zoom class and creating learning together. Outschool also offers free classes for families with financial need. Again, you can message me at with any questions. I also take requests.
