I am a single mother of six amazing children, ranging in age from twin teens to grown and flown adults. While managing epilepsy, I currently help my children juggle school and the arts, teach on Outschool, and teach private and group voice, piano, drama, and online music lessons classes both online and in person and as an independent teac
I am a single mother of six amazing children, ranging in age from twin teens to grown and flown adults. While managing epilepsy, I currently help my children juggle school and the arts, teach on Outschool, and teach private and group voice, piano, drama, and online music lessons classes both online and in person and as an independent teaching artist. Just for kicks, I also teach afterschool science and STEAM programs. I discovered Steiner education and Waldorf inspired living and learning early on in my parenting and teaching career, adding an appreciation for Montessori and the Reggio Emilia approach later. I love theater, Disney, reading, and music. My greatest joy, pride, and accomplishment will always and forever be my six incredible offspring.

Seasons of Joy began in 1999 as two Yahoo groups, back when the internet was brand new and all-- Natural Childhood and Feasts and Festivals. Hoping to inspire and encourage other families following the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner and Waldorf inspired education, Annette moved her groups to her Natural Childhood blog on Blogger, which then

Hoping to inspire and encourage other families following the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner and Waldorf inspired education, Annette moved her groups to her Natural Childhood blog on Blogger, which then became both a series of early childhood guidebooks and a WordPress blog. That blog has, sadly, been absorbed into the internet, although I will be bringing as many posts possible back via the Wayback Machine. Today, Seasons of Joy Curriculum Guides still have exist but have expanded into Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia, following rhythms and routines, and helping your own unique family find its own unique rhythm, routines, and magic.
